More than five million crowns in cash stolen from car

Last week, a forty-two-year-old suffered a huge loss. After parking his car on Koliště Street in Brno and leaving it to attend to some errands, some burglars took the chance to steal the victim's money. According to the Police Department, the money was in a laptop bag and it was more than CZK 5 million.

Council approves new cycle path connecting Veveří Castle and Rakovec

The Brno City Council approved plans for the construction of a new cycle path, which will be built on the right bank of Brno Dam between Rakovec and Veveří Castle. The plans involve the construction of six kilometres of 3-metre wide trails, at an estimated cost of just under CZK 86 million.
